ENVESOME Inventory of Existing Cohorts for Exposome and Environmental Health Research

The inventory compiles harmonised metadata describing existing human cohorts available within the consortium, including cohort characteristics, available biological samples, exposure biomonitoring data, chemical analyses, omics datasets, and associated metadata relevant to exposome and environmental health research. The inventory has been developed to facilitate the identification, comparison, and reuse of existing research resources across the ENVESOME consortium. It supports data harmonisation, cross-cohort analyses, and the planning of integrated multi-omics and human biomonitoring studies by providing standardized information on sample availability, analytical measurements, and metadata collected across participating cohorts. This resource is intended for use by ENVESOME consortium partners and the wider scientific community as a reference for identifying existing cohorts and biological resources suitable for exposome research, environmental epidemiology, and biomarker discovery. Future versions may incorporate additional cohorts, updated metadata, and newly available analytical resources as the project progresses.
