In the fiscal year 2022, the nuclear-related spending of electric power companies in Japan amounted to approximately 1.84 trillion Japanese yen. To reach its climate goals, the Japanese government currently aims to expand the nuclear industry, and increase the share of nuclear energy in electricity production.
