Bacillus velezensis CanL-30 was isolated from the leaves of healthy oilseed rape plants growing in Wuhan, Hubei, China. The B. velezensis CanL-30 genome consisted of a single circular chromosome 3,929,635 bp in length, with an average GC content of 46.50%, and did not harbor any plasmids. A total of 3,766 protein coding genes, 26 rRNA, 86 tRNA, and 8 secondary metabolite biosynthesis gene clusters were identified. The products of the gene clusters included surfactin, butirosin A/butirosin B, macrolactin H, bacillaene, fengycin, difficidin, bacillibactin, bacilysin, which might help host plants inhibit pathogens. The four clusters predicted to produce terpene, lanthipeptide-class-ii and T3PKS had no typically been found in other Bacillus SPP. This finding will provide valuable data to explore the biocontrol mechanisms of B. velezensis strains.
