Effects of different organic fertilizers on carbon and nitrogen metabolism

The application of organic amendments is an efficient agronomy practice for increasing crop productivity in saline-alkali farmlands. However, it is still unclear whether and how microbiota assist crops in nutrient uptake under the application of organic amendments. Here, we investigated the impacts of two typical organic amendments (lignite-based organic fertilizer, LBF, and sheep manure fertilizer, SMF) on sunflower nutrient uptake and underlying microbial mechanisms in a saline-alkali farmland.
