Genome assemblies for pseudomonads isolated from groundwater at the Oak Ridge Field Research Center. Pseudomonas

Bacteria produce and release a variety of bactericidal compounds that they use for interference competition with their neighbors. In this work, we investigated tailocins (large bacteriocins that resemble bacteriophage tails) produced by pseudomonads isolated from groundwater at the Oak Ridge Field Research Center. The genome assemblies included in this BioProject were mined for tailocin biosynthetic clusters and were also used for comparison of O-antigen biosynthetic clusters.
