Hourly uncalibrated xylem volumetric water content (VWC), uncalibrated period average, and calibrated xylem VWC data measured at various heights and depth in four trees each of southern red oak (Quercus falcata) and loblolly pine (Pinus taeda) at Schenck Memorial Forest (35° 49' 1.6”N, 78° 43' 35”W) in Raleigh, North Carolina from June 14th, 2021 at 18:00 to August 9th, 2021 at 17:00. VWC was measured using time-domain reflectometry soil moisture sensors (CS616 and CS655; Campbell Scientific Inc., Logan, UT) on a data logger (CR1000; Campbell Scientific Inc., Logan, UT) with a multiplexer (AM16/32; Campbell Scientific Inc., Logan, UT).
