Use of smart glasses for ultrasound-guided central venous catheterization in adults: a randomized controlled study

Ultrasound guidance has been shown to improve the success rates and decrease the risk of complications in central venous catheterization (CVC). However, the head shifts between procedure site and ultrasound screen usually increase the complexity and prolong the procedure time, leading to adverse effects on patients and operators. Smart glasses can provide operators real-time image projected from the ultrasound.
