In the current study, we investigated the changes in the transcriptome profile of the grape rootstock 140 Ruggeri (V. berlandieri x V. rupestris) throughout salinity and recovery procedures to acquire an overview of the associated molecular events underlying its physiological responses. To avoid osmotic shock, salt stress was imposed gradually by daily applying 30 mM NaCl solution for five days (Gajjar et al., 2023). When plants were assumed to receive 150 mM NaCl as a final concentration, leaves were collected at different time points, including 0h, 0.5 h, 2 h, 8 h, 24 h, and 48 h. Control plants received distilled water. For the recovery procedure, salt-stressed plants were supplemented with distilled water at the end of the salt experiment, and leaf samples were collected at 4 d, 8 d, and 12 d of recovery.
