Visual perception can be misleading: Proximity

The underlying image data and analysis scripts for Figure 3B-E and Figure S1 of <b><i>Believing is seeing – the deceptive influence of bias in quantitative </i></b><b><i>microscopy</i></b>.The file <i>20230519_Ptk2_live_TransferrinER_63X_cell3_Z52_airyprocessed.czi</i> contains an image of fixed cells labeled for endosomes and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) as described in <i>README.txt</i> and in the associated publication. The relevant channels of this file are also provided as separate tif files (<i>20230519_Ptk2_live_TransferrinER_63X_cell3_Z52_airyprocessed_ER.tif</i> and <i>20230519_Ptk2_live_TransferrinER_63X_cell3_Z52_airyprocessed_Transferrin.tif</i>) to simplify use of the associated MATLAB script (<i>segment_measure_ER_endosomes.m</i>). The script requires three subfunctions which are included (<i>bpass3D.m</i>, <i>cntrd3D.m</i>, and <i>pkfnd3D.m</i>). Expected output from the MATLAB script is also provided (<i>analysisOutput.zip</i>).
