Overview This dataset provides a full-scale open-fan geometry for the use within aerodynamic benchmarking and numerical method validation activities. The dataset was developed within the Horizon Europe research project PANDORA Project – OPEN FAN VALIDATION FOR CARBON-FREE AIRCRAFTS by DLR's Institute of Propulsion Technology and is intended to support open scientific research in civil aerospace turbomachinery aerodynamics. Dataset Content The release includes: Simplified 3D surface geometry of an open fan configuration (STEP/IGES format) CFD-ready surface definitions suitable for meshing and numerical simulation Reference operating conditions for benchmark cases Validation datasets for aerodynamic performance assessment Supporting documentation for numerical setup and post-processing Geometry Definition The provided geometry represents a simplified analysis model derived for CFD purposes. Export Control and Legal Notice This dataset has been reviewed in accordance with institutional procedures and applicable National and European Union export control regulations. The released data does not contain controlled technical information enabling reproduction or manufacturing of a functional propulsion system. It is limited to simplified aerodynamic surface representations intended for scientific analysis. Any use of the dataset is restricted to non-commercial scientific research purposes only. Intellectual Property The intellectual property rights of the dataset are owned by DLR's Institute of Propulsion Technology. The design was developped in the framework of the PANDORA project.
