MS analysis of Blastocrithidia nonstop (transcriptome-predicted peptides)

Mass spectrometry analysisThe proteins of <i>B. nonstop</i> in detergent-soluble fractions were digested with sequencing grade modified trypsin (Promega) and the resulting peptides were analyzed by two-dimensional liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry using MALDI-TOF/TOF mass spectrometer TOF Impact II (Bruker Co, Billerica, USA) at the Proteomics Core Facility (Central European Institute of Technology, CEITEC, Brno, Czech Republic). The peptides were predicted based on the <i>B. nonstop</i> and <i>B. triatomae</i> genomes translated in 6 frames with <i>Blastocrithidia</i> genetic code using a custom Python script.
