we conducted Fe(III) reduction experiments using the natural soil, without addition of organic substrates such as LMWOA. Instead, a model Fe(III)-reducing bacterium, Geobacter sulfurreducens, was added in either live or dead form to stimulate Fe(III) reduction in natural soil. We can see the different change about the bacterial community structure in the soil.
