Hemp is a variety of Cannabis sativa that is highly resilient and versatile, and it can be cultivated for fiber, seed, or fine chemicals. To take advantage of this versatility and the potential of hemp as a feedstock for the bioeconomy, genomics-enabled breeding programs must be strengthened and expanded. This work provides the foundation for such by investigating the chemistry and genomics of feral hemp populations collected from seventeen counties across the climate gradient of Nebraska.
