Global shipping emissions for the years 2013 and 2016-2021

The shipping emission datasets of the globe with 9 species (NOx, CO, HC, SO2, PM2.5, CO2, N2O, CH4, and BC) with a spatial resolution of 0.1o × 0.1o, the temporal resolution of days for the years 2013 and 2016-2021 were established based on SEIM (Sipping Emission Inventory Model). Based on well-cleaned AIS (Automatic Identification System) data and STSD (Ship Technical Specifications Database), SEIM model can simulate ship emissions for every ship by every two subsequent AIS signals, which are typically only a few seconds or tens of seconds apart.
