Hydroponic cultivation of Tetragonia decumbens in seawater dilutions for commercial agriculture

The primary focus was to evaluate the plant’s growth response to different salinity levels and the effects of various pruning stages on its development. Hydroponics, an innovative soilless farming technique, was employed to facilitate optimal nutrient uptake and root development.The experimental design involved testing varying concentrations of diluted seawater, aiming to simulate conditions of moderate salinity stress, which is relevant to regions where soil salinity may limit traditional agricultural practices. Additionally, the study examined the impact of different pruning stages on plant growth to determine the optimal timing and frequency of cutting back for maximizing yields or enhancing specific growth parameters.
