To reveal genetic basis of sexual dichromatism we sequenced the two pools of mosaic canary: yellow and red. Then we looked at the allelic imbalance in BCO2 gene. Finally, to put our results in broader context we performed RNAseq of 3 species: wild type canary, European Serin and House Finch.
