Ameca–Ixtapa and Cuale–Pitillal Basins DEM and BDRY

This dataset supports the manuscript “Morphometric Analysis and Subwatershed Prioritization in the Ameca–Ixtapa and Cuale–Pitillal Basins, Puerto Vallarta Metropolitan Area, Mexico”. It contains the GIS and topographic data used to compute morphometric parameters and to derive a Composite Morphometric Index (CMI) for six sub‑watersheds (Ameca, Mascota, Talpa, Tecomala, Cuale, Pitillal) within two principal basins on the Pacific coast of Mexico. The data include: Original SRTM DEM tiles covering the study area (four 1°×1° tiles, 1‑arc‑second resolution, ~30 m). Clipped DEMs for each sub‑watershed and for the combined basin area. Vector boundaries (ESRI Shapefile format) for each sub‑watershed and for the two main basins. All files are provided in standard GIS formats (GeoTIFF, Shapefile, and associated auxiliary files) and are projected to UTM zone 13N (WGS84). The dataset enables full reproduction of the morphometric analysis and can serve as a basis for similar studies in other coastal basins.
