The data includes the recruitment of two oak species
by year and the accumulated recruitment of a nurse shrub in 20 transects in
abandoned fields of Central Spain. Moreover, some climatic variables and
characteristics of the adjacent forest are included. The data is associated
with the Journal of Ecology publication "Long-term dynamics of shrub
facilitation shape the mixing of evergreen and deciduous oaks in Mediterranean
abandoned fields"
