The Jordanhill Cross - Govan 7

Govan 7 ([Stirling Maxwell's numbering](https://archive.org/details/sculpturedstone00maxwgoog/page/n22/mode/2up); ECMS Jordanhill) is one of the best preserved of the upright sculpture from Govan. It is an early medieval cross-shaft decorated on all four faces. It was gifted to the residents of Jordanhill house at some point in its biography, but was returned to Govan in 1928 by Glasgow Museums. While we do not know what Govan 7 would have looked like intact or where it may have originally stood, a replica stands outside at the entrance to Govan Old, for which the creator used the Barochan Cross as a model.
