Rising consumer demand has fueled expansion across sectors like e-commerce, retail, and technology, with many businesses responding by integrating more sustainable practices. This study looks into how online shopping behavior, awareness of sustainability, preference for eco-friendly platforms, and expectations for the future of sustainable commerce are connected—and how they affect environmentally conscious purchasing. A total of 301 participants took part in the survey, and the data were analyzed using SmartPLS. The results show that awareness of sustainability has the strongest influence on shaping consumer preference for sustainable e-commerce. While online shopping behavior also plays a role, its influence is smaller but still statistically meaningful. These findings underscore the crucial role of increasing sustainability awareness in encouraging responsible consumer choices and guiding the future direction of sustainable digital commerce.
