Premenstrual dysphoric disorder in online peer support communities: a Reddit case study (dataset)

This dataset accompanies the study “Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder in Online Peer Support Communities: A Reddit Case Study.” It includes metadata for 112 subreddits dedicated to peer support for specific mental health conditions, alongside r/PMDD, a growing community focused on Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) (filename: MHSN.xlsx). The dataset also contains two manually annotated files derived from posts in r/PMDD:A list of symptoms, also NER-detected, annotated according to DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for PMDD (criteria B1–B4 and C1–C7) (filename: symptom_annotations.xlsx)A list of medications detected by a named entity recognition (NER) model and categorized into medication types (filename: medication_annotations.xlsx)These resources support reproducibility and further analysis of PMDD-related discourse in online mental health communities.
