The major Coxsackie-Adenovirus receptor, CAR, is specifically down-regulated in immature erythroid progenitor cells in patients with MDS CAR mediates erythroid maturation in progenitor cells and their migration which may explain the maturation defect and pathology in MDS We analyzed CD 105-positive erythroid cells from reactive anemia and MDS subjects using the Affymetrix HG-U133 Plus 2 plattform. Array data was was processed by Affymetrix Array Computational Tool. No technical replicates were performed.
