Goldfish genome sequencing raw sequence reads

Goldfish is a excellent model for fish morphology evolution research. In this project, we aimed at dissecting the genetic basis of many morphological variations in goldfish, for example, the lose of dorsal fin. Firstly, we sequenced the genome of Hutou goldfish and assembled the first draft genome of goldfish. Then, we will focus on the genomic variations and the underlying mechanisms that lead to morphological changes of goldfish.
