Dataset of the accuracy of barotropic and baroclinic tides in global non-assimilative ocean general circulation models

Here are minimal descriptions of the four directories (zipped files). Detailed README.txt files can be found inside each directory. Each directory also contains a plotting file that can be used after updating the file paths to point to the appropriate datasets. 1. RMSA_data -> Contains files and subdirectories for the computed root-mean-square average (RMSA) for the different model simulations. 2. Schindelegger -> Contains simulation data from Schindelegger. 3. SSH_baroclinic_amplitude_along_track -> Contains global baroclinic sea-surface-height (SSH) amplitude data interpolated onto altimeter tracks. 4. SSH_barotropic_Amp_Phase -> Contains barotropic SSH amplitude and phase data (and/or their corresponding real and imaginary components) from TPXO8 and the other model simulations.
