Archaeological Research Services Ltd were commissioned to undertake an archaeological watching brief on land at Rectory Farm, Weston-on-Trent, Derbyshire, DE72 2BR. The works formed part of the planning conditions for extending part of the existing building. The original building is a two storey, timber-framed brick house with a tiled roof. The site was previously occupied by a rectory, which was burnt down in the 14th century. The watching brief revealed a number of walls, surfaces, drains, and several made ground deposits.
