Identification of genes involved in ecological preference in European white oaks. BIG

The objective of this study was to identify the molecular mechanisms involved in drought stress in European white oaks. To reach this objective, seedling from both species (pedunculate vs. sessile) were subjected to a moderate drought stress. White roots were harvested on three biological replicates and two sampling points were performed: one before drought stress (control) and one after 9 days of stress (long term response). Total RNA were then extracted and used for transcriptome characterization using an RNAseq approach
