Poribacteria Core292 assemblies, metadata and main analysis commands

This dataset contains the 292 nonredundant Poribacteria nucleotide assemblies used for a global comparison of symbiotic and free-living populations, comprising 262 symbiotic and 30 free-living representatives. The collection includes 11 MAGs reconstructed from three sponge species sampled in this study, 167 MAGs reconstructed by our team from publicly available sponge metagenomes, and 114 assemblies retrieved from NCBI. The 11 MAGs from the three sampled sponge species have also been deposited under NCBI BioProject PRJNA1450331. Public-source assembly accessions and provenance are retained in the accompanying metadata. The package includes assembly quality measurements, existing phylogenetic trees, compact command scripts and key analysis parameters. These scripts document the main software calls and settings and are not a complete implementation of all custom statistical analyses. Per-file SHA256 checksums are provided.
