Assembly and characterization of the complete chloroplast genome of the Colombian coffee variety Chiroso (Coffea arabica L)

This study focuses on the Colombian coffee variety called "Caturra Chiroso" and its chloroplast genome. Despite being highly valued for its quality and flavor, this variety lacks genomic resources. The study presents the first complete chloroplast genome sequencing of the Caturra Chiroso variety. The availability of this genomic information will be useful for future research in areas such as systematics, species evolution, population structure analysis, and variety conservation.
