These volumes contain copies of Executive Council minutes relating to the administration of the Lands Department. Primarily, these minute papers relate to staff movements within the Lands Department which had been recommended by the Public Service Board. The minutes relate to such matters as: resignations, appointments, retirements, dismissals, change of designation, transfers, promotions and requests for extended leave. In some cases, recommendations are made as to the alteration of Regulations under Acts administered by the Lands Department and clippings from the Government Gazette have been included. The registered number of the papers is given, the date of the effect of notice, whether approval has been granted and the Branch which will be affected by the notice. Volumes 3/6654-62 are letterpress copy books. A memo dated 28 February 1922 from the Under Secretary of the Lands Department requesting the discontinuation of this practice was acted upon and the preferred system of carbon copies was adopted from 13 March 1922 (3/6663-65). 12 Jan 1886-29 Nov 1890, 9 Jun 1902-19 Oct 1926 (Kingswood 3/6654-65). 12 vols.
