Data and Code for The Hidden Intermediaries of Global Embodied Carbon Interdependence

This repository contains the processed data, concordances, and analytical code supporting a study of intermediary embodied carbon linkages in global supply chains. The deposited files include machine-readable values underlying the main tables, Supporting Information Tables S1–S3, and Figures 1–6, together with Python notebooks for the principal analysis and cross-database robustness assessment. The principal analysis uses version v1 of the Multi-regional Input–output Table for the Global Emerging Economies (EMERGING), archived at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10956623. The robustness analysis uses Eora26 basic-price tables and environmental satellite accounts for 2010 and 2017. The original EMERGING and Eora26 matrices are not redistributed in this repository. EMERGING is available from its official Zenodo record, while Eora26 is available from the Eora Global Supply Chain Database subject to the provider’s licensing and access conditions. The repository contains only author-generated derived results, aggregation concordances, documentation, and analysis notebooks. Complete economy-level carbon-linkage results are provided in both formatted and machine-readable forms.
