Transcriptomic analysis of a caffeine-resistant Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain obtained by evolutionary engineering

A caffeine-resistant Saccharomyces cerevisiae mutant strain was obtained using an evolutionary engineering strategy based on successive batch cultivation at gradually increasing caffeine levels. The mutant strain Caf905-2 was selected at a caffeine concentration where its reference strain could not grow at all. Whole-genome transcriptomic analysis of Caf905-2 was performed with respect to its reference strain.
本研究采用基于逐步提升咖啡因浓度的连续分批培养的进化工程策略,成功获得一株抗咖啡因酿酒酵母(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)突变菌株。突变菌株Caf905-2是在其参考菌株完全无法生长的咖啡因浓度下筛选得到的。随后,以该参考菌株为对照,对Caf905-2开展了全基因组转录组分析。
