RNA-seq data of WT and ΔPeAP1 strains in Penicillium expansum

WT and ΔPeAP1 strains were inoculated in CY media at 25 °C and grown for 24 h on a rotary shaker set at 180 rpm. The cultures were then divided and one half of the culture medium was supplemented with 5 mM H2O2 and incubated for another 1 h. Mycelia were then separately harvested from both halves of media using one layer of miracloth, washed 3 times with distilled water, and then frozen in liquid nitrogen. Material derived from three independent experiments was used for RNA isolation (TRIzol procedure). cDNA library construction and Illumina sequencing were performed according to the method reported by Li et al. (47). Genes with a fold change ≥ 2.0 and a false discovery rate (FDR)<0.05 were considered to be differentially expressed.
