In 2022, the largest motor insurance company in Albania was Austrian-owned Sigal Uniqa Group Austria. In the first quarter 2022, Sigal Uniqa Group Austria had almost 600 million Albanian lek in gross written motor insurance premiums. The total gross written premiums in the motor insurance insurance industry amounted to more than 2.7 billion Albanian lek in the first quarter of 2022.
