Arthrobacter sp. YC-RL1 was isolated from petroleum-contaminated soil which is able to degrade and utilize several kinds of aromatic compounds for growth, including p-xylene, ethylbenzene, biphenyl, bisphenol A, bisphenol F, 4-nitrophenol, fluorene, 1,2,3,4- tetrachlorobenzene et al. The strain YC-RL1 showed good application potential for the bioremediation of polluted environments. The genomic information of Arthrobacter sp. YC-RL1 may promote the application of this strain and provide new gene resources for biotechnology and gene engineering.
