Blowfly-derived mammal DNA Raw sequence reads. insect gut metagenome

Considering the need for more effective mammal monitoring approaches in peninsular Malaysia and across the tropics generally, our objective is to compare the sampling efficiency of different field methods. In particular, we aim to evaluate the effectiveness of the blowfly-derived mammal DNA method in generating species inventories and species richness estimates compared to other approaches: cage trapping, mist netting, hair trapping, scat collection, and camera trapping.
