The tracheal mite Acarapis woodi is an obligate endoparasite of honey bees. To elucidate the phylogeny of the mite and the relationship with honey bees, DNA was purified from eggs. Then, the DNA was amplified and fragmented by sonication then library was constructed by using Illumina NeoPrep system. The draft genome sequence was analyzed.
