Dangerous Harbor Project - Lancaster County - Reel 260 - Ordinary Bonds, 1653-1850 - TIFFs 1-4

This dataset includes 4 TIFF files showing ordinary bonds from Lancaster County in Virginia. They allowed individuals to lend money to companies or people for a defined period of time. These documents were collected in association with the Dangerous Harbor Project which used courthouse documents to identify escaped unfree laborers in the 17th century Chesapeake and the punishments associated with their escape.
