Pre-emption was the right of a settler to purchase land, of which he had taken possession, before that land was offered to any other person. Volumes list actual purchase details, both of pre-emptive land purchases and improved lands. Show name of purchaser, district, name of run or locality, acreage, allotment, section, purchase price, deed fee, gazette notice of date of authority, date when payment due, date of payment, date of report, remarks.(2/2334-39). 6 vols.
