Outcomes of patients with laboratory confirmed respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) or influenza virus infection among adults hospitalized for acute respiratory infection

Retrospective cohort study over two influenza seasons (2017/18 and 2018/19) at the Thurgau hospital group with two acute care hospitals comprising a total of 520 beds. Aim: to estimate the burden of RSV versus other respiratory infections to better guide further diagnostics and preventive measures. Estimate the risk for ICU admission/dead controlling for various confounders
