This dataset contains anonymized clinical, metabolic, hematological, and anthropometric data collected from patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and control subjects.
Participants were classified into four study groups:
Healthy controls
Overweight controls
Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and complications
The dataset includes variables related to insulin resistance, beta-cell function, anthropometric measurements, inflammatory markers, hematological parameters, and clinical characteristics.
Metabolic variables were derived using the Homeostatic Model Assessment (HOMA), including insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), beta-cell function (%B), and insulin sensitivity (%S). Hematological variables include leukocyte count, erythrocyte parameters, and platelet counts. Anthropometric measurements include weight, height, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, hip circumference, and waist-to-hip ratio.
Clinical variables include age, sex, disease duration, presence of complications, comorbidities, and pharmacological treatment.
The dataset supports studies focused on insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, inflammatory markers, obesity, diabetes complications, and predictive modeling in metabolic diseases.
All data were anonymized before analysis and do not contain personal identifiers.

Variables include demographic characteristics such as age and sex; clinical variables including disease duration, family history, comorbidities, and medication use; metabolic variables derived from insulin resistance models such as HOMA-IR, insulin sensitivity (%S), and beta-cell function (%B); hematological parameters including leukocyte counts and platelet levels; and anthropometric measurements including body mass index, waist circumference, hip circumference, and waist-to-hip ratio.
Participants were categorized into four clinical groups, allowing comparative analysis between metabolic states and disease severity.
These variables were selected to evaluate the relationship between insulin resistance, hematological markers, anthropometric characteristics, and the presence of diabetic complications.
