hCMEC/D3 cells were treated with SiNPs for 24 h. It was discovered that SiNP_35 nm and SiNP_58 nm were both penetrated through the BBB via caveolin-mediated pathway, and both sizes induced the upregulation of the inflammation pathways. Overall design: Examination of transcriptome level in hCMEC/D3 cells treated with SiNPs for 24 h.
