Social Network, Social Comparision and Suicidal Risk in Adolescents

This dataset contains anonymised longitudinal data from 4,153 adolescents aged 12–16 years (mean age = 12.59, SD = 0.79), recruited from 43 secondary schools in the Valencian Community, Spain. Data were collected at three annual assessment waves between 2021 and 2024. The dataset includes measures of daily social media use, problematic social media use, social comparison in digital environments, and suicide risk, including passive suicidal ideation, active suicidal ideation, and suicide attempts. It also contains basic sociodemographic variables and supports gender-stratified longitudinal analyses of the relationships between social media-related behaviours and adolescent suicide risk.
