In this study, we clinically assessed the oral health status of 108 HIV-infected patients, analyzed the bacterial diversity of salivary microbial communities of AIDS patients using Roche 454 sequencing, and explored the effect of HAART treatment on the oral microbial communities of AIDS patients. Therefore, this study lays the theoretical foundation for exploring the relationship between oral microecological homeostasis and systemic diseases.
