资源简介:
Sudden Decline Syndrome (SDS) in Date Palm is a serious fungal disease caused by Fusarium proliferatum, leading to rapid deterioration and death of infected palms. The disease is characterized by wilting, yellowing, and browning of fronds, followed by crown collapse and internal trunk discoloration. As the infection spreads, the vascular system deteriorates, disrupting water transport and causing irreversible damage. Advanced symptoms include root rot, necrotic lesions at the base of leaves, and reddish-brown streaks inside the trunk. Infected trees eventually dry out and die, often within a short period.
