Sibling Australian fruit fly pests Transcriptome. Tephritids

The aim of the project is to identify genes that are differentially expressed between two sibling fruit fly species that are reproductively isolated by time of mating and are also differentiated by pest status. In particular we are interested to find genes for which time of day expression is regulated differently between the species. This would enable us to focus on critical genes with a role in the mating isolation mechanism.
