Chicken gut viral metagenome

Broiler chicken enteric virome. This project was designed to investigate the intestinal viral community present in selected samples from chicken and turkey farms in the Southeastern United States of America. Intestinal homogenates from selected chicken flocks were filtered and subsequently centrifuged to enrich for virus sized particles. Total cDNA prepared from purified viral RNA was submitted for sequencing and metagenomic analysis.
