This book is a monograph on forest soil science based on the Chinese Soil Taxonomy (CST). It covers soil orders under the CST including Histosols, Spodosols, Andosols, Gleysols, Isohumosols, Luvisols, Cambisols and Entisols, as well as genetic soil groups such as brown coniferous forest soil, podzolized soil, dark brown forest soil, albic soil, brown earth, gray forest soil, meadow soil and bog soil. Taking the introduction of soil profiles (pedons) as the basic unit, it includes contents such as profile location, soil taxonomic attribution and reference, habitat characteristics, vegetation community characteristics, pedon description (profile morphology and physicochemical properties), production performance review, and soil organic carbon status. Data scale: 400 pages, 600,000 Chinese characters.
