Striped field mouse (Apodemus agrarius Pall.) occurrences In Russia and adjacent countries according to published data

The dataset is devoted to 1 species - the Striped field mouse Apodemus agrarius (Pallas, 1771) [Kingdom - Animalia; Class - Mammalia; Order - Rodentia]. It concerns a significant part of the Striped field mouse distribution range, covering the territory of Russia (1264 occurrences) and neighboring countries within the borders of the USSR at the beginning of 1991. The dataset contains 1603 occurrences and is compiled from 10 literature sources. The main information (1475 occurrences) was taken from a review publication by E.V. Karaseva with colleagues (1992). We have included in Dataset the own research results (10 occurrences). The dataset illustrates the position of the northern and central parts of the Striped field mouse range, range disjunction in Transbaikalia, isolated populations in the north of the range. The dataset allows to observe the range dynamics: until 1950 - 1462 occurrences, from 1951 to 1990 - 122 occurrences, after 1990 - 19 occurrences.
