资源简介:

Alternate Title(s): Ophthalmoscopy : basic self-instruction for medical students Contributor(s): National Medical Audiovisual Center. Publication: Atlanta, Ga. : The Center, [1977] Language(s): English Format: Moving image Subject(s): Ophthalmoscopy Abstract: (Critical) This program introduces the basic contents of "Ophthalmoscopy: Basic Self-Instruction for Medical Students" for preview purposes. It consists of a general overview of ophthalmoscopy and sample slides on recognizing the characteristics of the normal and abnormal fundus. Use of the ophthalmoscope is discussed in relation to the instrument, application, and skill. The visual quality is good, but more narration should accompany the second half of the program. As an excerpt of a larger program, this does provide representative slides, but it does not describe the format or style of the unit very well. The material is recommended for use, not as an instructional unit by itself, but as an overview and preview of the series. and This is an overview of different parts of the eye as well as different eye diseases that can be detected using an ophthalmoscope. After a brief introduction, the video presents diagrams with written labels identifying each part of the eye’s anatomy. Students are advised that lining up the ophthalmoscope with both the doctor’s eye and the patient’s eye is incredibly difficult and may require practice.
