West Virgina Chemical Spill: 5-Day Rat Toxicogenomic Studies

As part of the West Virginia Chemical Spill research program, NTP evaluated three chemicals that were spilled into the Elk Rever in West Virginia for their ability to cause toxicity or biological changes in a short-term toxicogenomic study At each of six dosages (0.1,1,10,100,300 and 500 mg/kg body weight(bw) for MCHM and crude MCHM) together with vehicle control (MCHM,crude MCHM,PPH 0 mg/kg;corn oil), 6-8 week old male, Harlan Sprague Dawley rats received the test article via gavage for 5 consecutive days. contributor: National Toxicology Program
